REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN IBEJU LEKKI NOW

By in Blog with 0 Comments

When my parents relocated from Lagos to Abuja about 23 years ago, my father had the opportunity to invest in real estate at a low cost. A full plot in Abuja could then cost as little as 150,000,000 naira. Yes, you read that correctly: 150,000,000 naira in a now upscale neighborhood. Unfortunately, he was not sold on the idea of investing in undeveloped areas. Now, a piece of land there can go for as high as 850,000,000. This was one of his investment mistakes.

You may be wondering why I am telling you this story. Hold on for a little more than 3 minutes because you’re about to learn some investment secrets.

WHY IBEJU LEKKI?

According to current trends, Ibeju-Lekki would produce more than 70% of Lagos’ wealth by 2025. Ibeju Lekki, which used to be a rural local government district in Lagos, earned recognition after the Lagos government chose it as the location for the proposed Lekki Free Trade Zone. This proposition alone welcomed both domestic and foreign businesses. This has so far brought billions of dollars worth of investments from both domestic and foreign sources to Ibeju Lekki.

HERE ARE 6 MAJOR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTS IN IBEJU LEKKI THAT MAKES IT A REAL ESTATE GOLD MINE TODAY;

Lekki Deep Seaport

The Lekki deep sea port was recently commissioned by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari. The Seaport is said to be the deepest seaport in West Africa and it is fully automated. The Lekki deep sea port project is significant because it would serve as a hub for all of West Africa, influence the creation of up to 170,000 direct and indirect jobs in the economy, support infrastructure projects that would change the game and have a significant impact on trade and commerce, boost the real estate sector, and much more.

New Lagos International Airport

The Ibeju Lekki/Epe axis is home to the projected Lekki-Epe International Airport, which has a 5 million passenger capacity per year. It will be the first airport to be built on Lekki, Lagos Island, and it will be located next to Raedial Paragon and a few miles from Renaissance estates built by The Magnificent. It will be built to accommodate the Airbus A380, making it an airport that complies with Code F.

Lekki Free Trade Zone

The Lekki Free Zone, established in 2006 as a cutting-edge free zone and run following best practices from around the world, is currently a significant centre for industrial activity. The Lekki Free Zone is currently separated into four quadrants and run by several operators, taking advantage of Lagos State’s status as the region’s top distribution hub. It is situated on a 16,500-acre plot of land. The zone boasts of both domestic and foreign investments totalling billions of dollars, including The Magnificent’s 25-hectare commercial and residential estate Raedial Paragon.

Dangote Refinery

Dangote Refinery is a 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) integrated refinery and petrochemical project currently under construction in Nigeria’s Lekki Free Zone near Lagos. When completed, it will be Africa’s largest oil refinery. To generate clean fuels of Euro-V quality, such as gasoline and diesel, jet fuel, and polypropylene, the refinery will process a range of light and medium grades of oil. With an estimated $19 billion in investment, Dangote Oil Refinery is building the project. It is anticipated that the integrated refinery and petrochemical complex will create 9,500 direct jobs and 25,000 indirect jobs.

4th Mainland Bridge

The Lagos State Government in Nigeria is building the Fourth Mainland Bridge, a 38 km long bridge that crosses the Lagos Lagoon from Itamaga in Ikorodu to Lagos Island via Langbasa (Lekki) and Baiyeku (Ikorodu). [1] The bridge has a cross-section of 2 x 4 lanes with approval for a BRT lane and potential road contraction. With 3 toll plazas, 9 interchanges, a 4.5 km Lagoon Bridge, and an eco-friendly atmosphere among its other added features, it is anticipated to rank as the second-longest bridge in Africa.
