BLOCK OF FLATS
A block of flats is a large building consisting of different apartments owned by an individual or different people. In simpler terms, if you want to buy/invest in a big building that is divided by different flats/apartments, then what you want is a block of flats property.
BUNGALOW
A bungalow house is a single-story or one-and-a-half-story tall type of building. A bungalow’s half-storey is typically integrated into the roof’s slope. If the bungalow is standing alone, then it is fully detached. If it is standing with other buildings, then it is semi-detached.
SEMI-DETACHED
A semi-detached house is a building either a bungalow or a block of flats that shares a common wall with the next house. A lot of new properties in Nigeria are usually semi-detached, they share mostly fences.
FULLY DETACHED
Unlike the semi-detached house, a fully-detached house shares no common wall with the building next to it. It is a stand-alone building. It could be a bungalow or a duplex.
TERRACE
A property is considered a terrace when there is a stretch of buildings either duplexes or duplexes connected to each other on both sides.
MAISONETTE
A maisonette is a type of apartment that typically has a different exterior door from other apartments in the same building. A lot of maisonettes are on two floors. You can find a lot of maisonette properties in Nigeria now compared to a few years ago.
PENTHOUSE
A penthouse is usually a luxurious apartment on the top floor of a block of flat or apartment building. It is easy for you to tell it apart from other apartments on the building because of its size and it luxury fittings.
